The "Intelligent Product Competition" for food processing machinery and biotech/pharmaceutical equipment in 2022, jointly organized by the Precision Machinery Research and Development Center (PMC) of the Foundation for Precision Machinery Technology and Industry (PMC) and the Taiwan Food and Pharmaceutical Machinery Industry Association (TFPMA), and guided by the Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, held its award ceremony at the Nangang Exhibition Center on June 23. After rigorous evaluation, seven companies stood out in the two categories of awards and were honored.

This is the 7th time the competition has been held. In the category of food processing machinery, Kuo Tseng Machinery Co., Ltd. was awarded the special award, and Chin Ying Fa Machinery Industry Co., Ltd. and Bai Cheng Machinery Enterprise Co., Ltd. were awarded the excellence award. The innovation award winner was Hsin Li De Co., Ltd. In the biotech/pharmaceutical equipment category, Yuan Cheng Machinery Co., Ltd. was awarded the special award, and Taiwan Super Extractor Wash Precision Machinery Co., Ltd. was awarded the excellence award. The innovation award winner was Yi Hong Environmental Technology Co., Ltd.

The competition was supported and subsidized by the Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and the evaluation process was rigorous and professional. The award ceremony also invited the judges - Qiu Jun-da, Manager of the Precision Machinery Research and Development Center of the Foundation for Precision Machinery Technology and Industry, Zhan Zi-qi, Professor of the Department of Mechanical and Computer-Aided Engineering at Huwei University of Science and Technology, and Huang Shi-rong, Professor of the Institute of Food Industry Development, to give speeches on the current development of intelligent manufacturing industry and share their first-hand experiences of evaluating the competition. In addition, the winning companies were invited to introduce the development process of their award-winning products, which was rich in content and won enthusiastic response.

The industry association stated that this competition aims to encourage domestic food processing machinery and biotech/pharmaceutical equipment companies to lead the trend of intelligent machine research and development through the use of design and manufacturing technology. Through the competition, it also promotes the introduction of innovative smart designs into new product research and development. At the same time, it encourages companies to strengthen the performance of intelligent systems, implement the concept of the Internet of Things, and apply robots and automation, as well as to develop human-friendly and easy-to-use operating interfaces.
